Fine Print (Disclaimer and Privacy Policy)

Your privacy is important to us. Below is some boring legal stuff, but hopefully it clarifies how we handle your information. We also make a bunch of excuses to cover our tails but that's only because some people get so upset over misunderstandings. Please contact our team if something isn't clear.

ADC

The term ADC will be used below to save from repeating a bunch of stuff. For these purposes, ADC refers to "Advanced Development Concepts" which includes the subsidiary businesses (Advanced Programming Concepts, Advanced Publishing Concepts, Advanced Business Roundtable, and any other DBAs of Advanced Development Concepts, LLC), the CEO Scott Alvord, his family, volunteers, hired businesses, contractors, all businesses that might be helping in some way, the businesses of the people who are helping, the families of all of the above and anyone else that you think might be somehow related to Advanced Development Concepts.

No Implied Guarantee

First of all, there isĀ no implied guarantee associated with this website, our social media page, any ads we run, materials (digital or physical) we make, and anything else related to ADC. Just like we can't guarantee the future, we can't guarantee that Facebook, PayPal, WPEngine, BlueHost, Mail Chimp, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, or any other third party business that is somehow directly or remotely associated ADC, will function perfectly and not cause any problems. ADC (see above for the definition) is offering you no guarantee of any kind in relation to this website or anything else, unless it is specifically specified in a contract between you and ADC.

ADC nor any third party business (e.g., Facebook) is liable for losses incurred through the use of the website, social media, phone number(s), messaging, mail, email, signage, ads, and statements made or implied. Likewise, these entities and ADC are not responsible for technical issues arising from your use, or anyone else's use, of these platforms both physical and digital.

Statements made on this website and on social media are not necessarily the complete representation of ADC. Of course, ADC does not intend to mislead anyone but the team might make statements on various platforms that have not been fully approved by management or anyone else that might care. None of the authors, contributors, administrators, vandals, hackers, or anyone else connected with this information and platforms, in any way whatsoever, can be responsible for your use of the information contained in or linked from these web pages or social media. If you have a question, Contact Us.

More Legal Junk about Opinions and Views Expressed

The opinions and or views expressed on the website or social media platforms related to ADC, including, but not limited to, our blogs and Facebook pages, represent the thoughts of individual bloggers and online communities, and not those necessarily of ADC. The opinions and views expressed on these pages and other sources do not in any way necessarily reflect the views of ADC's pages and platforms they are posted on, other sites affiliated with the site, the staff involved with maintaining the site or any members of the site.

Facebook wants us to say that the opinions or views expressed on ADC-related social media platforms are not representative of Facebook, Inc. But, this same statement goes for every other platform in use by ADC.

While the ADC team makes reasonable efforts to monitor and/or moderate content posted on its social media platforms and other areas of expression, we do not moderate all comments and cannot always respond in a timely manner to online requests.

It's Our Right To Edit or Delete

ADC reserves the sole right to review, edit and/or delete any comments it deems are inappropriate. Comments including but not limited to the following may be deleted or edited by the moderators:

  • Abusive or hurtful comments about someone;
  • Off-topic and redundant comments (this includes promotion or solicitation of events, groups, pages, Websites, organizations, products and programs not related to or affiliated with ADC);
  • Comments that use foul language or "hate speech" (for example, including but not limited to racial, ethnic or gender bashing language);
  • Personal attacks or defamatory statements or comments (i.e., making negative personal or untrue comments about someone), instead of just criticizing his/her posting, opinion or comments; and
  • Comments that violate the privacy of any individual;

Look, if you decide to be a jerk and write some mean or stupid stuff online, we have the right to remove it. This is a business, after all, and we don't have to leave your garbage up there. But beware...karma has a funny way of repaying jerks.

Sounds like a bored lawyer wrote the next sentence. Information that is posted on any of ADC-related or managed websites or social media is not intended to be medical advice (seriously?) and should not be considered medical advice, nor is it intended to replace consultation with a qualified physician or other health care provider. Also, we cannot be responsible for stupid people who do stupid things based on what they read or hear. Just because we might post something doesn't mean we know what we're talking about. Geesh, really?

All links to other websites found linked from ADC-related websites, social media sites, or third-party sites are provided as a service to readers, but such linkage does not constitute an endorsement of those sites by ADC nor the platform it is shared from or to, and as such we are not responsible for the content of external websites. And we can't predict what a hacker might do to our website either because hackers are usually evil and don't follow rules. At least in our history in dealing with hackers, we have yet to run into one that attacked a website and left a nice recipe for Peach Cobbler. Usually, they do unethical things without caring about the damage they are doing.

When You Give Us Information

By submitting or postingĀ public content to any of ADC's own or managed websites or social media sites (e.g., Facebook post), you understand and acknowledge that this information is available to the public, and that ADC may use this information for internal and external promotional purposes. Please note that other participants following your posts may use your posted information beyond the control of ADC or the platform hosting the material. If you do not wish to have the information used that you have made available via ADC-related areas, published, copied and/or reprinted, please do not post in those areas or be a lot more careful about what you post.

When you submit information via private Messenger, mail, email, or the website fill-in forms, it is the full intent of ADC to keep your information private. We don't plan to sell or give it to a non-ADC source. However, realize that if you are providing an endorsement/testimonial, we might use it and share it in public and private on digital or physical formats, because that is what endorsements/testimonials are for.

If you sign up on our mailing list, we will not add you to other non-ADC mailing lists. We will attempt to keep your email confidential and not share it with others outside of ADC. However, it is possible that we could be hacked, or a person can steal, or someone forgot to shred a document before it when it went into the garbage or something else completely unexpected can happen, and your contact info might be taken without our permission. We will try to keep this from happening but if the thought of this freaks you out, you might want to play it safe and avoid signing up for anything online.

When You Make Payments

Making an online payment, we use a third-party payment processor such as PayPal. We never receive (and therefore can't see or retain) your payment information. We only receive a report of who paid what. Your name and address might show in that report but we do not receive any credit card (or related) information. And if we ever do receive it for some reason, we will not keep it or use it (cross our hearts).

Our Stuff Can't Be Used By You

We have a lot of photos, quotes, images, video, and other ADC-related information throughout our website and social media platforms. Some of this information might be borrowed or repeated from other sources. We do not make claim of images that are not specifically ours and in cases where we re-post photos or video from other sources, etc. then we do not make claim to own those images and you'll have to contact those sources if you want to use those images. However, the ADC-related images that we take or aquire or get permission to use ourselves, are obviously not yours and you cannot borrot or use, or steal them without permission of ADC. ADC retains the ownership rights of all quotes, photos, etc. that we post and while you can share them using the typical share features of the same social media platform they reside in (like we might have done), you cannot use them off the website or platform without proper permission.

What We Forgot and How to Contact Us

We are sure we forgot something. Therefore, if there is something obvious that is missing here in all this rhetoric, let's assume that you are a reasonable person. We are not going to try to trick you and we hope you are not going to try to trick us. If you have a question, please contact us. You can reach us at (916) 782-4272 or you can reach the team at Info @ ADCBiz.com (remove spaces before using that email address).
